We're Born Naked and the Rest is Drag | College Course
Through this short documentary-style video, I will be taking you through the many facets of my brother, Joe Cabry’s (aka Stefani Steel) career as a drag queen, and the joy and challenges it has brought him and my family. Joe’s career as Stefani Steel began during his freshman year of college while making his debut performance at the Philadelphia University annual drag show. Joe had always struggled in school, especially when attempting to find a passion for his future career. From that point forward, Joe knew this was the path he was meant to take. His career started to take off at the beginning of his junior year of college and he decided that school was no longer aiding him in his passion for drag but holding him back from his full potential. This was difficult for my parents to grasp at first, yet they supported him through this journey regardless. He is now a successful drag queen within the tri-state area and continues to grow his platform and inspire other young queer people. I wanted to shed light on this community I have fallen so in love with and hopefully inspire others to do what they can to support this art form.
